CADDO PARISH, LA-   Men killed in I-49 crash named 

 

Two Shreveport men killed in a motor vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of Interstate 49 near its Kings Highway interchange late Friday, February 2, 2024, have been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office. 

 Driver Paul W. Hawkins, 45, and passenger Marcus H. Holloway Jr., 33, died from crushing injuries after the sedan they were in drove south in the northbound lanes and ran into a northbound moving truck. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene just after 11:30 p.m. 

 Positive identifications for both men were made through fingerprint comparisons. The collision remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department. 

 Autopsies for both decedents were ordered.
