Caddo Deputies Arrest Man for Copper Wire Theft and Other Charges
A Caddo Parish man was arrested yesterday for stealing AT&T copper wire from power-poles, and they discovered many more serious charges along the way.
Yesterday afternoon, Caddo Patrol Deputies were called to the area of Flournoy Lucas near Stevens Road to reports of a man possibly trying to break in to houses in the area. When Deputies arrived in the area, they discovered a bag with several burglary tools, and nearly 300 feet of AT&T copper wire that was cut from several utility poles in the area.
A witness told Deputies that a man in all black ran in to a field near Stevens Road. The man was found later, hiding in the woods near Wrenwood Boulevard by a CPSO drone.
The suspect was identified as 26 year-old Shawn Fielhauer. He was arrested and taken to Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on charges of felony theft, simple criminal damage to property, and illegal carrying of weapons.
Additionally, Fielhauer had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest, including felony theft, illegal possession of stolen things, carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and registration as a sex offender.
