During Thanksgiving week, 64 people were booked and kept in Caddo Correctional Center.

One of the men booked this week was suspected of hitting his own father with a brick:

On Sunday, November 24, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a domestic assault at a residence in the 6500 block of Quilen Boulevard.

The victim reported that a verbal argument had occurred earlier between him and his son, Jordan Pequeno. Shortly after the argument, Jordan returned to the residence, retrieved a brick from outside, and struck the victim in the head. The assault caused a visible head injury and bleeding.

The Shreveport Fire Department was called to the scene to provide medical assistance. Although SFD personnel advised the victim that stitches were necessary, he declined to be transported for further medical treatment.

Officers conducted a search of the area and located Jordan Pequeno near a neighborhood park in the 6700 block of Quilen Boulevard. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to addressing incidents of domestic violence and ensuring the safety of the community.

Another man pictured in this gallery was taken in for Domestic Abuse with Child Endangerment:

On November 25, 2024, just after midnight, Shreveport Police responded to a call regarding an assault and battery in the 3000 block of Lufkin Street.

Following an investigation into a domestic incident, officers from Shreveport Police Patrol officers took Brian Guzman into custody. Guzman faces charges of two counts of domestic abuse with child endangerment and two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon. The incident reportedly occurred in the presence of two minor children. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

The Shreveport Police Department reminds all members of our community that love should never hurt. Victims of domestic violence are urged to contact local law enforcement for help and support. Resources are available to ensure your safety and the safety of your loved ones.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please reach out for assistance.
