Caddo Correctional Center Booking Photos October 25th-31st

This week, 66 people were booked and kept in the Caddo Correctional Center for various crimes.

One of those booked was arrested for a Hollywood Avenue shooting

Shreveport Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left a man seriously injured earlier this month.

On the evening of October 12th, SPD Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Hollywood Avenue. When Police got to the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

While Police were investigating, they found that the victim's car had been stolen, and several pieces of evidence were collected at the scene.

SPD's Violent Crimes Detectives continued the investigation, and were able to identify Pierston Betties as the suspect. Last week, SPD was able to obtain a warrant for Bettie's arrest for one count of Attempted Second-Degree Homicide and one count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

Within hours of getting the warrant, the U.S. Marshals Task Force, working in conjunction with the Shreveport Police Department, located and arrested Betties.

Chief Wayne Smith commended the outstanding work of the department’s Violent Crimes detectives and thanked federal partners for their swift action in apprehending a dangerous offender.

“Our detectives continue to make solid arrests in the vast majority of violent crimes in our city,” said Chief Smith. “We’re grateful for our partnerships that help keep Shreveport safe.”

All those pictured are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
