Caddo Correctional Center Booking Photos July 19th-25th

This week, 85 people were booked in to Caddo Correctional Center for various crimes.

One was arrested following repeated threats and an attempted arson

Earlier this month, Shreveport Police were called out to Millicent way to reports of a threat and attempted arson.

The victim was able to provide enough credible information to prompt an investigation. While investigating the case, SPD found what appeared to be an attempted arson to the victim's apartment. SPD found text messages that were allegedly sent by Jaylon Davis to the victim that confirmed many of the complaints by the victim.

Over the next several days, the victim called the Police several times with more complaints about Davis' ongoing harassment. SPD called on investigators with the Shreveport Fire Department to help with the suspected arson of the victim's apartment.

On Tuesday, SPD got a call from the victim again, and they were able to locate Davis. Davis was arrested and charged with simple assault and also arrested on an outstanding warrant for aggravated arson.

Another was taken in for transporting a juvenile for sexual purposes.

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested a man for carnal knowledge of a juvenile following an investigation that began in June.

36 year-old Gary Porter was under investigation after he was accused of illegal sexual activity with a 16 year-old. Porter was also accused of giving the teen drugs during the offence.

Porter was arrested once Detectives determined that there was enough evidence. Porter was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
