Despite the restraining order, Mineau showed up to the apartment, where an fight broke out. SPD found that Mineau bit the man on the thigh as he attempted to leave the apartment.
The violent incident happened in the presence of seven children.
After investigating and taking statements from witnesses and the victim, SPD located and arrested Mineau.. During her arrest, Mineau told Police that she was aware of the active protective order against her.
Mineau has been charged with seven counts of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment and Violation of a Protective Order.
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department reminds the public that domestic violence has lasting and damaging effects—especially when it occurs in the presence of children. SPD will continue to hold offenders accountable while working to educate the community on the serious dangers and long-term consequences of domestic violence."
Another was taken in after being suspected of robbing a teenager at gunpoint.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Dallas man following an armed robbery near Jersey Gold Road in Keithville.
Deputies responded to a report of an 18 year-old man who showed up at a home wearing only underwear, claiming he had been shot at and robbed. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he received treatment for moderate injuries and was later released.
The victim stated he was given a ride by 32 year-old Traymill Cherry, who is a family friend of the victim. He told CPSO that Cherry drove him to an ATM and attempted to force him to withdraw money from his account.
When the victim told Cherry that he did not have his bank card, they left the area. Cherry allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and demanded that he take off his clothes to prove he did not have the card. The victim did what Cherry said, and stripped down to his underwear. Cherry took the victim's phone and attempted to transfer money to himself.
The victim managed to escape by opening the car door and jumping from the moving vehicle. As he fled, he reported hearing a gunshot fired before running to the home for help.
Deputies were able to swiftly locate the vehicle matching the victim's description at a house on Jersey Gold Road. CPSO located Cherry at the home and arrested him. Cherry was taken to to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Division for questioning.
From CPSO:
"After further investigation by Detective Matt Purgerson, Cherry was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery and was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on the aforementioned charges.
The investigation is ongoing."
