Caddo Correctional Center Booking Photos February 1st-7th

This week, 84 people were booked and kept in to Caddo Correctional Center.

Among those booked was this man who SPD had been looking for on a Domestic Violence warrant and was finally caught.

On January 19, 2025, officers responded to a report of domestic violence. The victim stated that her live-in boyfriend, Carlos Franklin, struck her in the face with a closed fist, causing a laceration inside her bottom lip. The victim’s 8-year-old son was present during the assault, and she is currently pregnant.

SPD Domestic Violence Detectives have been in contact with the victim and confirmed that she is nearing childbirth. Franklin was arrested on the following charges:

· Domestic Abuse Battery Upon a Pregnant Victim

· Domestic Abuse Battery – Child Endangerment

Franklin has an extensive criminal history involving violent offenses.

Another was booked to CCC following felony gun as well as other charges.

Shreveport Police have arrested Tonique Sellers on multiple charges following an incident on Tuesday (2/4/25).

At 11:30 AM, members of the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Abatement Team were conducting an operation in the 2900 block of Peach Street when they came across a suspicious person. The person immediately fled on foot but was arrested shortly after. Sellers was found to be in possession of a firearm.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Tonique Sellers is a convicted felon and is not allowed guns of any kind. Sellers was arrested for negligent carrying of a firearm and has a criminal history involving multiple gun-related offenses. Sellers was previously found guilty of illegal possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance in 2023.

The Shreveport Police Department remains focused on ensuring the safety of our community by continuing to track down and apprehend individuals prohibited from possessing firearms.
