UPDATE: Power Restored in Bossier Parish

Update from Swepco: All power has been restored.

A widespread power outage in Bossier Parish this morning. Swepco is working to get the power restored before 9am.

KEEL News has gotten reports from Haughton, Princeton, Country Place. We also have reports that power is out from Barksdale Air Force Base south to the Sun City area. Several residents have told us the power is also out in Stonebridge. Another resident tells us Provident Oaks is without power as well.

More reports are coming in about outages. Folks in Bellaire, Stockwell Place, Dogwood, Barksdale Boulevard south of I-20, Tiburon, Northgate Village and the Lakewood Subdivision are out.

Swepco Spokeswoman Carey Sullivan tells KEEL News there was a problem at a substation. She says "There were damaged pieces of equipment at the substation. We have to test the equipment to bring it back online safely. It should all go well and power should be restored in 2 hours."
