BREAKING: Body Found Floating in Red River

Shreveport police are investigating a body found in the Red River this morning.

Police say that just before 9 a.m., someone walking across the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge noticed the body floating in the water and called 911.

The Bossier and Caddo Parish Sheriff's Offices and Shreveport police all worked to pull the body from the water.

The body has been sent to the Caddo Parish Coroner for identification and official cause of death. Police say the body showed no immediate signs of foul play.
