Boy Shot Several Times While Playing Football In Bossier City
Bossier City Police have confirmed a child was shot on Tuesday November 28th, in the city's Central Park neighborhood.
Just before 4:30pm, Bossier City Police received a shots fired call in the 900 block of Many Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 12-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The child had reportedly been shot while playing football.
Witnesses believed the boy had been shot in the chest and leg, but during the investigation, police found different injuries. Officers found the boy had been shot multiple times in the arm, and was suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
While Bossier City Police are still investigating the shooting, KTBS-TV reports that witnesses told them they believed the shooter was inside a home on the corner of Pine Street and Many Street.
Investigators say that at the time of this writing, no suspects have been arrested, but it sounds like there is a "person of interest" in the investigation.
