Bossier City Officials say the thieves are falsely claiming to be from Bossier City Water billing telling you it's time to pay your bill to avoid disconnection.

City leaders say:

No one from the City of Bossier City or our third party service will ever ask for payment information over the phone. All transactions must be initiated by the customer through the website or via phone call (initiated by the customer).

You are reminded NEVER to give out any personal or identifying information to anyone over the phone.
