Bossier Police Seeking Suspect in Theft and Assault
On 05/18/2022, officers with the Bossier City Police Department responded to 2360 Airline Drive Bossier City, LA 71111 (Lowes) in reference to a theft/ aggravated assault. Subsequent to investigation, video footage of the suspect (unknown black male) responsible for the theft was obtained.
The video footage showed an unknown black male (who was clearly not physically disabled) walk into the store from the middle of the parking lot where he was dropped off. Upon entering the business, the suspect utilizes a motorized wheel chair (designated for people who actually have physical disabilities) to commit a theft therein. The suspect, then leaves the business with stolen property on his person. Upon exiting the business, the suspect threaten an employee with a knife in the parking lot area of the business after the employee confronted the suspect about stealing property inside the business.
The aforementioned employee allows the suspect to leave the area with the stolen property. The suspect fleas the area on the aforementioned motorized wheelchair. Even after being confronted the suspect refused to return the stolen property or discontinue using the motorized wheel chair designed for physically handicapped patrons of the business. Lowes suffered a loss of three hundred forty six dollars and fifty three cents ($346.53) as a result of the suspect’s actions.
