A onetime Bossier City Police officer takes his case to the State Supreme Court today.

Philip Vernon was fired in 2009 after he arrested Bossier prosecutor Sherb Sentell at a local casino. Vernon was fired for filing a false report but he has been fighting that allegation ever since.  He was reinstated, but he's still trying to get back pay and a suspension removed from his record. A decision from the court is not expected for a few weeks.
