Two women were murdered last night in Bossier City's first murders of 2019. Bossier City Police report that 22-year-old Shandrell Simoneaux, and her mother, 40-year-old Maeisha Simoneaux were shot and killed by 22-year-old Frederick Dewayne Jackson.

Jackson has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder, his bond has been set at $7.5 million.

Police were called to the Misty Hollow Apartments, just off Airline Drive and Shed Road, last night just after 8pm. Upon arrival, they found the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers also found the two children of Shandrell Simoneaux and Jackson present in the apartment. Investigators believe that Shandrell Simoneaux and Jackson were in a relationship.

Authorities say that Jackson then fled the scene in a vehicle after shooting both women.

According to online records, Jackson is a Shreveport resident, who resides on Woolbert Street. They have not released details on his apprehension.
