You might have noticed that several Bossier public buildings are lit up by blue floodlights.

"We're doing this to raise awareness and to show solidarity and support for law enforcement agencies here and across the nation during these troubled times," said Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington. "We hope that when residents and visitors are passing by, and these lights catch their eye, they'll be reminded of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for public safety, and of those who work so hard to maintain it."

Some of the buildings that have had their white lights replaced by blue are the Bossier Parish Courthouse, Bossier Sheriff's Viking Drive Substation and Bossier Sheriff's Fleet Services Center.
