On Wednesday, Bossier Parish Deputies made a traffic stop that lead to a felony arrest for burglary.

Deputies stopped Hadrekus Bailey in his car. During the traffic stop, Deputies discovered what turned out to be stolen property. Bailey was detained, and BSO Detectives started a follow-up investigation.

Deputies discovered that Bailey was connected to a string of burglaries that were done on the days leading up to the traffic stop. BSO was able to recover things that had been taken from 5 different homes including property stolen from a garage, a
shed, a vehicle, and items taken from the front porch of a Bossier Sheriff's Office
employee.

Bailey later admitted to his involvement in some burglaries, and was booked into
the Bossier Max on the following charges, with additional charges pending.

- Theft - Package Theft (Felony)

- Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling (Felony)

- Simple Burglary - Theft from a Motor Vehicle (Felony)

No Bond has been set at this time.

Sheriff Julian Whittington emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, and
additional charges may follow. He also expressed his appreciation to the Springhill
Police Department whose assistance was instrumental in this case. "This arrest
highlights the importance of proactive patrols and teamwork among law
enforcement agencies."
