Body Of Man Found In North Shreveport Identified
A young man who was tragically found shot to death in north Shreveport Tuesday morning has been identified. The body of a young black man was found in a vacant lot on October first, and the investigation in to his identity has just concluded.
Roderyck Young, 21, of Shreveport, was found unresponsive on Hanna Street and Jones Mabry Road, in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood around 8 a.m. Tuesday. Upon investigation, police found that the body had obvious gunshot wounds. The investigation immediately began as a homicide.
An autopsy took place at Ochsner LSU Health hospital. The autopsy confirmed that Young died from his gunshot wounds.
Young's Grandmother says he went missing on Sunday and could not be reached. Unfortunately the search ended tragically on Tuesday morning. The family has set up online donations to help with the arrangements. The investigation in to this tragic homicide is still ongoing.
