The body of a missing Minden man was found off of Auction Barn Road near the Minden Rodeo Arena.

Daniel Merritt (26) was reported missing on Tuesday (5/2/23) and his body was found on Sunday (5/7/23). Minden Police Chief Jared McIver has stated that he is treating this investigation as a homicide.

According to reports, Minden authorities received a tip as to where Merritt's body could be found. After a short search The body was discovered. Chief McIver has stated that there are leads in the case and will be using the "process of elimination" to find out who could be responsible.

The family of Daniel Merritt has been notified that he was found dead.
