Body Found In Lake Piru Where ‘Glee’ Star Naya Rivera Is Presumed To Have Drowned
As search efforts continued Monday morning at Lake Piru in California for 'Glee' star Naya Rivera, authorities say a body has been found.
33-year-old Rivera went missing on July 8 after renting a pontoon boat with her 4-year-old son Josey. After being found alone on the boat, the toddler was able tell police that he and his mother went swimming, but that she never got back on the boat.
The boy said “his mom never made it out of the water,” Sgt. Kevin Donoghue with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said in a press conference.
Authorities believe the young actress drowned in a tragic accident.
The sheriff’s office says it plans to hold a news conference at 2 p.m. Monday.
