Blanchard Teenager Arrested for Killing His Own Mother

Just after 2pm on Friday, Caddo Sheriff's Deputies were called to Double A Drive after someone called 911 and frantically reported "My brother killed my mother!".

Deputies showed up to the home, and found 19 year-old Conner Lyons sitting on the back steps of the house. Deputies cuffed Conner and read him his rights. After he was informed of his rights Conner told the arresting Deputies that he was hearing voices and had stabbed his mother.

Conner was taken to the Criminal Investigation Division to be interviewed where he waived his rights to a lawyer and signed a Miranda Rights form.

Caddo Deputies cleared the home, and were able to find 55 year-old Laura Lyons dead in her bed in the master bedroom. Conner was read his rights again, and admitted to investigators that he stabbed his mother three times in the neck with a knife while she was asleep.
