Beware Of Dangerous Traffic Spots

Traffic is definitely picking up as Christmas Day inches closer and police are keeping an eye on the traffic congestion. Police did send out a report listing the busiest spots in the city:

Youree Dr.
70th St.
Bert Kouns Industrial Loop
Line Ave.
Pierremont Ave.

You will find the most congestion on Youree as you get close to 70th Street and the same goes for 70th. Bert Kouns is also a trouble spot from Terry Bradshaw Passway to Youree. Line Avenue from Ockley south to 70th is also another area to be extra careful on if you are headed out. Pierremont's heaviest traffic is right at Line Avenue, but it's also quite busy once it turns into Southfield, especially near Youree Drive.

On an average week, police work close to 150 crashes, but that number is expected to climb to close to 180 for this week.  Shreveport Police will also hand out more tickets during this holiday week.
