As a fellow sushi lover, this Reddit thread looking for the best place to take a date for sushi on Valentine's Day in the Shreveport-Bossier City area caught my attention.

Let's be clear, I'm following this thread on Reddit for the sushi, not for a place to go on Valentine's Day. You have to have a special someone for that!

As a sushi lover, I have my favorites. I particularly like Ichiban on Youree Drive in Shreveport and California Roll and Sushi on Beene Boulevard in Bossier City because they both have avocado salads. I'm positively addicted! My favorite roll at California Roll and Sushi is the LSU and at Ichiban, it's the LSU, Youree, and Shreveport rolls. My buddy Josh is a huge fan of Sushi Gen on Airline Drive in Bossier, so we go there pretty often as well. While Ichiban and California Roll and Sushi don't really have a romantic ambiance for Valentine's Day, Sushi Gen in Bossier would be just fine for a night of flirtation.

I know a lot of people are fans of Sushiko Sushi and Grill at the Louisiana Boardwalk, but personally, I'm not a fan. The last few times I've been to Kumo Sushi in west Shreveport the food has been good, but the service was slow. However, it seems like service has been an issue at a lot of restaurants due to staffing shortages.

Here are a few of the suggestions I found interesting on Reddit. I didn't know about the restaurant on Mansfield Road in Shreveport.
