Barksdale Leaders Say Husband and Wife Involved in Clarence Street Shooting Are Staff Sergeants

Barksdale Air Force Base confirms the husband and wife involved in yesterday's early-morning shooting on Clarence Street were Barksdale Airmen. Staff Sgt. Judy Groomes is with the 2nd Logistics Sqadron Inbound Receiving Section and Staff Sgt. Christopher Groomes is assigned to the 548th Combat Training Squadron. Both have been at Barksdale for nearly four years. Judy Groomes was scheduled to deploy to southwest Asia in the coming months. BAFB leadership is assisting Bossier police with the investigation.
