Several military installations in the state of Louisiana will be getting more money from the Senate's National Defense Authorization Act according to U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy in a press release.

Fort Polk will be in line to get $25 million as that base is were soldiers are readied for deployment to assignments across the globe.

The air base at Barksdale would be in line to get $48 million for the Air Force. Cassidy says the base needs the man to build up the access road from I-220 to the base. It's part of a bigger project where the military is expected to spend $300 million for storage facility for weapons.

Cassidy had this say,

Louisiana plays a key role in America's national defense strategy. These projects at Barksdale and Fort Polk strengthen their ability to prepare for and respond to threats. Continued investments pay dividends for our state and our nation.
