Artwalk Returns To Downtown Shreveport This Friday
There are a lot of things I love about Shreveport. It's my hometown... I was born here and I've lived here my entire life, so far. My wife and I love to participate in the many activities we have available in Shreveport. We attended the Revel back when we were dating, and still love it to this day. We love getting up on summer Saturday mornings and going down to the Shreveport Farmer's Market and having breakfast and picking up fresh fruit and vegetables. And of course, we always have a great time at Mudbug Madness.
Another one of our favorite events, the Downtown Artwalk is kicking off this weekend in downtown Shreveport. Artwalk will be this Friday, June 3rd from 5P-8P and features art from 26 area artists and crafters. If you've never attended and are thinking this is some stuffy, boring 'art event'... you couldn't be more wrong! Artwalk is open to the public, free to attend, has free parking, and is a great way to enjoy downtown Shreveport. There are live musicians, food trucks/booths, and you get to see buildings and businesses you might not have ever been in before. And it's all within walking distance through downtown.
There's no set route or schedule, but the Downtown Development Authority recommends the following:
Where should you start? Wherever you like, but we suggest this route:
