
Two People Arrested Following Shreveport Traffic Stops
The Shreveport Police Department made two arrests during separate traffic stops on Thursday (2/6/25).
Bryan Benamati Arrest: Just after 9:00 p.m., officers pulled a man over in the 7100 block of Youree Drive. The stop was due to switched license plates on the car. During the investigation, officers discovered that the driver, identified as Bryan Benamati, was in possession of a gun and drugs. Benamati now faces charges including possession of Schedule II narcotics, illegal carrying of a weapon with narcotics, and multiple traffic offenses.
Larren Scott Arrest: Earlier that same day, around 3:00 p.m., officers stopped a person at the intersection of Portland Avenue and Darien Street. People inside the vehicle attempted to run in to a the woods but were quickly arrested with the assistance of a Shreveport Police K-9. Larren Scott was taken into custody and charged with resisting an officer and possession of a firearm.
