Shreveport police have a warrant for a man accused of shooting at an officer during a traffic stop.

Officers were attempting to pull over a vehicle on Linwood, but the driver kept going. He pulled over at the intersection of West 77th and Dowdell and fired shots at persuing officers. An officer fired back, but it's not believed the suspect was hit.

A portion of the area was cordoned off for a couple of hours, but detectives were unable to locate the man. They did find the gun used in the shooting, however. Now, they've linked 28-year-old Labroderick Alexander to the crime. He's believed to be driving a burgundy, four-door Chevy sedan, and is considered armed and dangerous.

Police have a warrant for his arrest, charging him with aggravated assault on a police officer. If you know where he is, call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
