Arrest Warrant Issued for Belwood Street Shooting Suspect

Shreveport police have an arrest warrant for the suspect accused of shooting at a man late last week.

On December 18, police were called to a report of shots being fired in the 1500 block of Belwood Street. They found out a man allegedly fired shots at 29-year-old Floyd Ashley outside a home, hitting the vehicle Ashley was riding in several times. Nobody was wounded and the suspect fled following the shooting.

Detectives have gathered evidence in their investigation linking 31-year-old Billy Joe Williams of Shreveport to the crime. The arrest warrant charges him with one count of attempted first degree murder. His bond is set at $500,000.
