After nearly three months of investigating, an arrest has been made in connection with the September 30th fire that destroyed the Olive Street Bistro.

Shreveport Fire Department investigators and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives executed an arrest warrant late this afternoon in the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue and arrested 27-year-old Carl R. Dollar.  He was booked on a charge of simple arson.

If convicted on the charge, Dollar could be facing anywhere from two to fifteen years in prison and/or a fine of up to $15,000.  Assistant Chief Fred Sanders says Dollar is a former manager of the popular Highland neighborhood eatery.
