Area Sheriff Accused On Drug Charges

Winn Parish Sheriff A.D. "Bodie" Little has been arrested. A federal grand jury indicted him on drug charges. The Caddo Sheriff's Office was involved in the investigation.

Little faces federal indictment. He's accused of being involved in the distribution of methamphetamines in his parish and in Shreveport. Little was arrested Tuesday morning. He remains behind bars locally and is due in U.S. District Court tomorrow. Little is one of 11 people accused of being involved in the drug operation. Details of the indictment and Little's alleged involvement have not been released. Little's attorney says the Sheriff denies the charges and will plead not guilty.
The state Attorney General's office is also investigating Little. That is a separate case though. An inmate says he did maintenance work at Little's home. Through his attorney, Little says the actions taken against him are politically motivated.
