So what does it mean?  A Bad Day to be a Clay?  Are all the guys named Clay going to find out they're being audited by the IRS this year?

Nope.  It'll be a bad day to be "sporting clay" as April 22 is the date of the 2017 Red River Clays Sporting Clay Event at Los Paloma in Benton.

Registration is set for 7:00 am and competition will begin at 9:00 am. The sporting clays competitive round features 108 birds.  It's $125 per person or $500 for each 4-person team.  Trophies for winning team and individual honors for top shooters.

The event will also feature door prizes, a lunch and refreshments and golf carts are available for rent.

All proceeds will benefit the Red River Desk and Derrick Phyllis B. Powell Scholarship Fund which provides scholarship funds to area qualified students seeking a degree in the Oil and Gas Industry from area universities.
