Another Armed Felon Captured by Shreveport Police
SHREVEPORT, LA- Proactive Officers Arrest Felon with Firearm
Officers with the Shreveport Police Department conducted a traffic stop just after midnight on September 13th on Line Avenue after noticing a vehicle driving without a license plate. During the stop, officers made contact with the driver, identified as 37-year-old Christopher Bell.
Upon further investigation, officers quickly determined that Bell had outstanding warrants and took him into custody. During the arrest, officers also discovered that Bell was in possession of a firearm, despite being prohibited from doing so due to prior felony convictions.
Bell has been charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm in addition to his outstanding warrants. The firearm was seized as evidence.
Chief Smith would like to commend the officers for their outstanding work in being proactive and protecting our community. Their vigilance ensures that firearms remain in the hands of those legally permitted to possess them, contributing to the safety and security of Shreveport.
