A Man Found Asleep Behind the Wheel Charged with Drug Possession
A Shreveport man faces multiple drug possession charges, after being found asleep behind the wheel of his car, in a parking lot. A Bossier sheriff's deputy located 26-year-old William Bagley in the parking lot of a closed business around 11 p.m. Christmas Eve, and saw him slumped over to the side with a cigarette in his mouth and a lighter in his hand. The vehicle was in drive, and Bagley had his foot on the brake pedal. The deputy also noticed a tobacco-like substance all over Bagley's lap and shirt -- and an unopened beer can in the cup holder. While the first deputy was waiting for another to arrive, Bagley's foot slipped off the brake and the car started to roll forward. Luckily, the deputy was able to wake Bagley and get him to put the vehicle in park. That's when he saw what appeared to be a half-smoked blunt inside the car. Deputies also found one bottle with three types of prescription pills inside, pills inside a pack of opened cigarettes...and a vial of liquid steriod. Bagley was booked into Bossier Max on five separate possession charges.
