This was the scene outside the Pines Road Wal-Mart around 7:45pm this evening.

A man driving a dark blue 2001 Chevrolet Impala was being stopped by an officer for playing loud music on Audrey Lane in North Shreveport, but he didn't want to stop.  He led police on a chase that took them on westbound I-20, to just before the first Waskom exit, when the suspect turned his car around in the median and headed back eastbound into Louisiana.

He's 23-year-old Joey Q. Caldwell of Bossier City.  710keel.com has pictures and video of the actual arrest, which happened just before 8 o'clock this evening in the Pines Road Wal-Mart parking lot.

Caldwell did have an active warrant out of Caddo Parish for a traffic violation.

Shreveport Police Officers and Caddo Sheriff's Deputies with Rifles chased Caldwell into Wal-Mart through the General Merchandise side, and came out with him in handcuffs being escorted by two SPD officers, from the garden area.

No shots were fired and Caldwell appears to have been unarmed, and an initial search of his vechicle turned up nothing suspect.

Witnesses who were in the store at the time the man went running through, said he ran straight for the rear door.  But that proved fruitless, since officers anticipated that and were waiting for him as he tried to run out the back of the store.

Caldwell is charged with one count each of aggravated flight, resisting an officer, loud music violation, and driving under suspension.
