You might not know that one of the most incredible stories in college football history calls Shreveport home. The football program at Centenary College in Shreveport rose to national prominence, and ceased operations, all within a span of 25 years.

Between 1920 and 1941, Centenary College's football program had undefeated seasons, conference championships, beat some of the biggest programs in college football history, set NCAA records, took down a nationally ranked team in Shreveport, had All American players, and even suited up a future Pro Football Hall of Fame player. But all of that ended in the 1940s when the school cut off football, and it hasn't been seen since.
