11 Arrested in Shreveport this Weekend for DWI

SHREVEPORT, LA- Busy Weekend for Shreveport Police DWI Unit
The Shreveport Police Department DWI unit had a busy weekend, arresting multiple individuals for driving while intoxicated. The series of arrests began on May 30 and continued through the weekend.
1. Julio Sandoval, 34, was arrested in the 400 block of Crockett Street during a traffic stop.
2. Daniel Moreland, 62 was arrested in the 300 block of E. Kings Highway after being found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
3. Jerry Wilkins, 42, was arrested for multiple traffic violations, including DWI, during a traffic stop at Commerce Street and Milam Street.
4. Dylan Sepulveda, 19, was arrested for DWI and reckless operation of a vehicle after exceeding the speed limit on I-49.
5. Kelvin Armstrong, 36, was arrested for DWI in the 2000 block of Market Street.
6. Tronada Knox, 25, was arrested after being involved in an accident at Arkansas Avenue and Greenwood Road.
7. Clarence Stewart, 59, was the first arrested on Sunday, charged with DWI after an accident at West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
8. Troy Evans, 35, was arrested for DWI during a traffic stop.
9. Corinthian Mitchell, 27, was arrested for DWI after running a red light at Creswell Avenue and Stone Avenue.
10. Jennifer McCoy, 43, was arrested for DWI and possession of marijuana after her vehicle was found stuck on railroad tracks in the 900 block of Louisiana Avenue.
11. Robert Hughes, 47, was the last DWI arrest of the weekend, also charged with possession of marijuana and obstruction of justice during a traffic stop at Hudson Street and Midway Avenue.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in any of these incidents. However, it is important to remember that drinking and driving claims more than 13,000 lives annually in the United States.
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to keeping our roads safe and will continue to rigorously enforce DWI laws.
Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
