10th Annual Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex Contest July 27

 Participants can enter their best salsa recipe into one of 7 categories below.

Entering the contest is free and registration begins at 8AM day of the event.There is no limit to the number of categories someone can enter, but each person is only allowed one entry into each category. Contestants must bring at least 4 pints of each salsa they would like to enter.

Free Salsa tastings will begin at 9AM. Everyone who tastes gets to cast a vote on their favorite salsa. Winners for each category will be chosen by popular vote with the best overall  being the salsa that recieves the most votes total, according to their Facebook page. Winners will be announced at 11AM with prizes awarded for each category from the Texarkana, Texas Farmers' Market.

Along with salsa contest, local vendors will be on hand selling fruits and veggies, and assortmentof other goods.

The Texarkana Texas Farmers' Market is an open-air market in historic downtown Texarkana that provides and avenue for local vendors to sale their products while promoting healthy, locally grown food.
