SHREVEPORT, LA Fatal accident on I-20 in Shreveport

At approximately 5:50 AM today, the Shreveport Police Department responded to a major accident on Interstate 20, West of Pines Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered an overturned 18-wheeler and a 2022 Kia involved in the crash. Regrettably, the driver of the 18-wheeler suffered fatal injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that both the 18-wheeler and the Kia were traveling westbound at the time of the collision. Fortunately, the driver of the Kia emerged from the incident unharmed.

Traffic in the westbound lane was backed up for hours as officials dealt with multiple vehicles involved in the accident.
