[UPDATE] Deputies Identify Young Woman Who Died in ATV Crash in North Caddo Parish
[UPDATE] Authorities have identified 23-year-old Courtney Kenny as the young woman who died after the ATV she was riding on flipped.
Kenny was a passenger on a Polaris Ranger driven by Nicole Arbour, 22, of Mandeville.
Kenny, Arbour and a third woman, 22-year-old Lauren Pigeon, were riding in the Polaris on a dirt road in an open field. They were attending a gathering in the 4600 block of Dixie-Shreveport Road. Arbour lost control of the vehicle and it flipped.
Kenny was transported to Willis-Knighton Bossier where she was pronounced dead. Arbour and Pigeon were treated at University Health.
None of the women were wearing seatbelts or helmets.
Deputies believe alcohol may have played a part in a fatal ATV crash in north Caddo Parish.
[ORIGINAL STORY] The crash happened in a rural area on private property near the Dixie-Shreveport Road. A criminal investigation is under way because alcohol is believed to have been involved.
The 23-year-old woman who died was one of two passengers on a 4-wheeled Polaris Ranger. The Sheriff's Office says it appears the female who was driving took a curve too fast and the ATV flipped.
The woman was rushed to Willis Knighton Bossier where she died.
The driver and the other female passenger suffered minor injuries. All 3 women believed to be in their early twenties.
