Graduation day is right around the corner for a special group of young people. The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Young Marines program will graduate its largest class of recruits ever next Tuesday evening at the sheriff's substation on Viking Drive. The 62 recruits who make up Class 23 have completed thirteen weekends of training -- which included physical training, team motivation, confidence-building skills, and more. The Young Marines program is the official youth program of the United States Marine Corps. It's been around since 1958 and started in Bossier back in 2002. Since then, more than nine-hundred young men and women have gone through the program.
