Wrestlemania 34 Is Headed Back To New Orleans

The WWE has announced that Wrestlemania 34 will be hosted at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The event will take place April 8th of 2018.

WWE had hosted Wrestlemania 30 at the Superdome back in 2014, when a capacity crowd of 75,167 enjoyed the event. That year's event generated a then record $142.2 million dollar economic impact for the city of New Orleans, according to a study by enigma research.

Also according to the report, Wrestlemania 30 generated about $24.3 million in federal, state, and local taxes.

The economic impact is estimated to be higher for the 2018 event, the jump in economic impact between Wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta, and Wrestlemania 32 last year in Dallas was over $45 million. The economic impact for last year's Wrestlemania in Dallas was over $107 million.
