Wreck on Hollywood Avenue in Shreveport Turns Into Murder Investigation

Shreveport police are investigating an early-morning shooting death.  Officers were called out to a report that a motorist had hit a pole in the 2500 block of Hollywood Avenue. 

When they got there, they found the driver suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.  The Bossier City man -- whose name hasn't been released -- was taken to LSU Health Shreveport, where he was pronounced dead. 

Detectives have reopened the area of Hollywood between Mansfield Road and Hearne Avenue, but they continue to investigate.  No word yet on a possible suspect.  If you have any information that can help in the case, call detectives or Crime Stoppers (673-7373).
