An attempted residential burglary last night in the Cedar Grove neighborhood leaves a would-be burglar with a gunshot wound to the arm...from a bullet fired by his alleged accomplice. Shreveport patrol officers were called to a reported shooting in the 500 block of East 73rd Street, where they found 37-year-old Cori Yarborough suffering from the single gunshot wound. He was taken to LSU Hospital for treatment. Detectives have learned that Yarborough and another male were apparently trying to break into a house, when the resident heard them and went outside. He yelled at the burglars, and one of the men fired two shots from a handgun at him...but one of the bullets struck Yarborough instead. The victim wasn't wounded. Yarborough was booked early this morning on a charge of attempted simple burglary. Investigators are working to identify and catch the other man.
