Beginning tonight, the Jimmie Davis Bridge will be down to one lane of traffic for routine maintenance. Work will be done from 8 pm until 6 am and is expected to take about four days to complete. This is part of the prep work to begin a yearlong facelift on the bridge.

Crews from JPL Construction have been assigned to watch the underside of the bridge to make sure barn swallows don't build nests. the birds are federally protected and the nests delayed work on the bridge for over a year.
