An evening shooting in west Shreveport leaves a woman wounded and police searching for suspects.

According to police, officers were called to a home in the 4100 block of Martha Street just after 8 p.m. When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Skyla Williams suffering from a gunshot wound to the mid-section. She was taken to University Health for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound.

Violent Crimes detectives say Williams was inside the home, when she was hit by a stray bullet believed to have been fired during a physical fight between two males who were also at the home. The men ran off before police got there.

Police are looking for leads in this case. Anyone with information that can help is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
