A Bossier Parish woman is wanted in an adoption scam. According to medical records, 21-year-old Heather Hill was pregnant as of August 18th of last year. On august 23rd, she had an abortion at a local women's clinic. But in mid-October, she went to an adoption agency in Lake Charles to put her unborn child up for adoption. A Denham Springs family made arrangements to adopt Hill's child, and paid her on 25 different occasions -- for a total of $6,800. Last month, after the supposed birth at LSU Hospital, Hill told the couple she was keeping the child. She's required to pay back all the money for the adoption, but hasn't done so...and she's been evading authorities. She's wanted for theft by fraud, extortion, money laundering and racketeering. Take a look at her photo and if you recognize her, contact the Bossier Sheriff's Office.
