Woman Raped at Shreveport Government Complex is Suing the City

The Georgia woman who was raped at Government Plaza after the Independence Bowl in 2012 is suing the city. Her attorney says her civil rights were violated.

Former Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Rick Seaton was convicted of rape and sentenced to 15 years. One key point in the lawsuit is the city's lack of accountability after the game when the victim was trying to get help to get her boyfriend out of jail. The lawsuit claims the woman, who was 18 at the time, was raped twice on the couch in the mayor's office.
