Woman Charged in East Shreveport Stabbing

An argument between two women in east Shreveport leaves one woman facing charges and another on the run.

Just before 5:00 last night, Shreveport patrol officers were called to a reported stabbing at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Dee Street. When they arrived, they found out 42-year-old Masheka Hicks and another woman got into a fight, during which Hicks armed herself with a sharp-edged object and stabbed the woman in the upper body.

The woman reportedly armed herself with a knife and cut Hicks' arm. The woman left the complex on foot and hasn't been located yet. Hicks was treated at the hospital and released. She's been booked into the Shreveport City Jail for aggravated battery.
