[UPDATE] Tami Lynn Asbil has been captured in Forest Hill, Texas, located southeast of Fort Worth. Efforts are being made to extradite her to Bossier City.

[ORIGINAL STORY]  The Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force is looking for a woman wanted for cashing two counterfeit checks totaling nearly $16,000.

Police say 38-year-old Tami Lynn Asbil was caught on security camera video cashing the checks at a local business last month. Asbil's last known address is in Abilene, Texas, but she may be temporarily residing in the Shreveport area.

Detectives have an arrest warrant charging Asbil with monetary instrument abuse. She's a white female, 5’5” tall, about 250 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Anyone who can help detectives locate Asbil is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. They can also submit a web tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website.
