Nestle Pizza Company out of Wisconsin is recalling several frozen pizza varieties that may be contaminated with small fragments of plastic.

The USDA is recalling California Pizza Kitchen Limited Edition Grilled Chicken with Cabernet Sauce and DiGiorno Crispy Flatbread Pizza Tuscan Style Chicken. Each of the product packages has an establishment number of P-5754. And the FDA is recalling DiGiorno Pizzeria Bianca/White Pizza -- and California Pizza Kitchen Crispy Thin Crust White. All the pizzas being recalled were produced between February 26th and March 9th of this year and shipped to retail establishments nationwide.

The problem was discovered after the firm received consumer complaints that small fragments of plastic were found in the CPK Crispy Thin Crust White Pizza. The problem was related to the lot of spinach used in the production of the three additional varieties of pizza. The fragments are of clear, brittle plastic, in irregular triangles, and may have sharp edges. One consumer has reported an injury so far...a chipped tooth.
